Our Story
Faith That Meets You Right Where You Are
FaithPoints For Living was born out of a simple conviction: that God's word is alive, relevant, and meant for everyday life — not just Sunday mornings.
"One word of truth can change everything."
— FaithPointsOur Story
Where It All Began
FaithPoints For Living started in a quiet kitchen, early on a Tuesday morning, with a cup of coffee and an open Bible. The founder, struggling through a difficult season, found himself returning to scripture not as a religious duty, but as a lifeline.
What began as personal notes — reflections scribbled in the margins of a journal — slowly became something she shared with a few friends. Those friends shared with others. And before long, what started as one woman's morning ritual had become a community of thousands, all seeking the same thing: a word of truth to carry them through the day.
FaithPoints For Living exists because we believe that scripture is not just ancient text — it is living, breathing, and speaking directly into the moments of your life right now.
What We're Here For
Our Mission
To make God's word accessible, personal, and transformative — one devotional at a time.
Rooted in Scripture
Every devotional, every resource, every word we write begins and ends with the Bible. We hold it as our foundation and our authority.
Honest & Grounded
We don't pretend faith is easy or that life is always bright. We write for real people in real seasons — including the hard ones.
Accessible to All
Whether you've walked with God for decades or you're just beginning to explore faith, there is a place for you here.
Community-Centered
Faith was never meant to be lived alone. We are building a community of believers who encourage, challenge, and carry one another.
The Person Behind the Words
Dr. Michael K. Layne
Founder & Lead Writer · Est. 2015
Dr. Michael K. Layne founded FaithPoints For Living in 2015 with a single mission: to make God's word accessible, personal, and transformative for everyday believers. A theologian, author, and speaker, Dr. Layne has spent decades helping people discover the practical power of scripture in the ordinary moments of life. His writing is marked by warmth, honesty, and a deep conviction that faith is not reserved for Sunday mornings.
I write the devotionals I needed to read. My prayer is that they find you exactly where you are.
